To qualify for the 'Supremo' designation, beans must be retained by sieve 17, which is the largest and guarantees the quality in the final product. Caffeine content: 1.37%. Taste analysis: Prepared by the method of espresso, you will appreciate the aroma that emanates from the toast in the steaming cup. Moreover, whatever the method of preparation, you will find a delicate nose of gingerbread, supported by soft caramel aromas. | Costa Rica | Origin: In Costa Rica coffee represents 25% of exports, giving it an economic importance of the first order. Costa Rica is a Tarrazu SHB "Strictly Hard Bean" which grows at an altitude between 1200 and 1650 meters. The country has implemented strict policies to ensure quality. Caffeine content: 1.33% approx. Taste analysis: High altitude on volcanic slopes implies acid soils, so Costa Rica is a coffee with enough acidity present, but no trace of bitterness, which makes for a fine coffee mainly savoured in the first part of the mouth. The aroma is delicate, releasing smooth hints of licorice and whipped cream.Costa Rica is an afternoon coffee, ideal for the preparation of espresso, and for lovers of sweetness, and those who enjoy their coffee with a fine and delicate acidity to them. |
| Ethiopia Sidamo | Origin: Ethiopia from the Sidamo province, located southeast of Addis Abeba. There, the coffee is harvested from June to September, and only the ripe cherries are hand picked one by one, and processed by the wet method. This coffee is by tradition, biologically pure, no chemical pesticides or additives have ever been used. This is a rare and valuable benefit at a time when green products are in vogue. Caffeine content: 1.50% on average Taste Analysis: The Ethiopia Sidamo coffee has great body and great gentleness. It is mellow and has a pleasant acidity that enhances its balance. When it touches the tongue, the sweet scent of coffee- apricot, then it presents an outstanding finish and it often results in generating a very strong urge to drink a second cup. The Ethiopia Sidamo is ideally enjoyed in the morning and after lunch. It is certainly one of the best coffees in the world. | Guatemala | Origin: Guatemala. Guatemalan production only amounts to 2 million bags of arabica almost exclusively. In contrast, the production of arabica coffee from Brazil is equal to average 17 million bags. Plantings are almost primarily on volcanic soil at altitudes up to 1700 meters. These plantations are often still protected by tree cover (preventing frost and strong sunlight). The harvest is between September and April, by which the system of hand-picking the cherries guarantees a uniform maturity. The cherries are processed by the most expensive and most complex method, but the most effective: the wet process. Caffeine content: 1.32% on average Taste analysis: Guatemala Genuine Antigua Culpan Extra is a Strictly Hard Bean, which means it has grown at a high altitude of between 1600 and 1700 meters. It is a very sweet coffee, slightly bitter, with medium acidity. It has a good body with a slight astringency. Its floral aroma with a touch of dew, light taste of tea, this coffee is ideal for brewing through a filter. Sweet and delicate this coffee can be enjoyed at any time of day. Its outstanding balance is the reason why it is often used in the composition of mixtures of different origins.
